A Greenreality Homes operated test period of sustainable everyday living has begun in Lappeenranta on September 21. For a month, the households participating have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with everyday living that produces a smaller carbon footprint. 45 homes are participating, most of which are located in Lappeenranta, as well as a few in neighboring municipalities. All-sized households are represented from apartment buildings and detached houses to terraced houses. The homes are located in the city center, urban areas and the countryside.

Aurelia Turbines has been granted 2 million euros of funding by the EU's Horizon 2020 program for its FUTURBINE project. The duration of the project is 2 years.

Jarmo Roiha started as the CEO of Enerity Solutions Oy during the summer. Jarmo transferred to Enerity Solutions Oy from Empower IM Oy, where he was responsible for sales of the IT systems of the energy sector and customer-oriented energy market services in the Nordic countries. Jarmo has previously worked at Vattenfall Oy and Helen Oy with electricity sales and customer service in digital service channels as his area of responsibility.
The collaboration between Auto-Kilta and Elektroway announced in the beginning of spring has advanced succesfully during the summer. The solar power systems were installed in June and July to Auto-Kilta offices in Mikkeli and Savonlinna, and the installation in Auto-Kilta Trucks in Mustola, Lappeenranta is underway. The solar plant that is being installed has the power of 88 kWp.

LCA Consulting carried out a report to the Ministy of Environment that evaluated the current costs of separate collection of consumer packaging waste, as well as possible costs if property-specific separate collection was expanded considerably from the existing system.
A seven-storey apartment building switched to geothermal Heating in Skinnarila, Lappeenranta in August.
Proheat labored a domestic Gebwell ground-source heat pump. The previous district heating equipment was dismantled in its entirety. The system consists of geothermal wells that were drilled for 1200 meters. In addition, heat recovery ventilation was installed to the roof with our partner I-Huolto.
In the future all heating and water of the housing cooperative of 30 apartments will be produced with ecological geothermal heating.
